Bus Communications

In order to communicate with families more quickly regarding bus issues throughout the school year, we will be moving to using a text messaging system. As soon as we receive word from First Student regarding any bussing problems (late bus, mechanical problems, etc.), we will send a message through Finalsite which will come through as a text message. Using this system will mean easier access for families to be notified about bus information.

At this time, any family that qualifies for transportation listed in Skyward will receive the notification. We are unable to remove names that do not use the bus during the school year. If your student is not taking the bus, we ask that you ignore the messaging. These types of messages will only apply to the students riding the bus.

We have already sent out a few messages for late busses this year. If you are not recieving text messages regarding bussing and your student's bus has been late, please contact the office.

8 Keys of Success

This year, we will be follwing the 8 Keys of Success to guide how we learn, treat one another, and grow together. As we go over these keys, they will help our students (and adults!) make good choices and build a strong, caring Glen Hill community.

  1. Integrity – Match Behavior with Values
Do the right thing, even when no one is watching. Be honest and trustworthy.

  2. Failure Leads to Success – Learn from Mistakes
Mistakes are how we grow! Each time we try again, we get stronger and smarter.

  3. Speak with Good Purpose – Speak Honestly and Kindly
Use words to build others up, not tear them down. Think before you speak.

  4. This is It! – Make the Most of Every Moment
Be present and give your best effort. Enjoy the here and now.

  5. Commitment – Make Your Dreams Happen
Keep trying, even when it’s tough. Finish what you start and give your best.

  6. Ownership – Take Responsibility
Own your actions, words, and choices. If you make a mistake, admit it and make it right.

  7. Flexibility – Be Willing to Change
Things don’t always go as planned. Stay open, positive, and willing to adjust.

  8. Balance – Live Your Best Life
Take care of your mind, body, and heart. Balance work, play, family, and friends.

Our families can support these keys at home by talking about them, celebrating when you see your student using them, and modeling them in everyday life. Together, we can help every student grow into their very best self!
